"Don’t equate the presence of God with a good mood or a pleasant temperament. God is near whether you are happy or not."

Sad that it takes a white dude saying what black people have long been saying for other white people to understand but regardless, he’s not telling any lies here.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Notice the key in this verse: seek first the Kingdom. In other words, don’t seek the blessing, seek the One who blesses. Don’t be consumed by things. Don’t chase after money, fame, fortune or a bigger “this or that.” Instead, chase after God! If you will seek Him first, then all of His blessings will be added unto you. Not a few things. Not a half a dozen things. God is a God of abundance, and He says “ALL things.” In other words, when you keep Him first place, you won’t be able to contain all the good things that He will bring across your path! He’ll fill you to overflowing. He’ll give you things that money can’t buy. You can work 24/7, but you can’t buy health. You can’t buy strength. You can’t buy a good night’s rest. Seek first the Kingdom, and God will reward you!

That word “seek” is a strong word. One definition says “to require as a vital necessity.” That means we should consider spending time with God as vital to living a victorious life. That means no matter how we feel when we wake up, no matter how tired we are on Sunday morning, we are going to get up and honor God as if our lives depend on it!

Today, make sure things in life are in the right order—seek first God’s Kingdom. Seek His way of doing things. Honor Him at the start of your day and make it a part of your routine. As you do, you’ll see His reward on your life, and you’ll see all of His blessings added unto you!

So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny. (Job 23:14) God has an assignment for you that nobody else can fulfill. God needs you. He needs your gifts, your smile, your love, your passion. You are a part of His divine plan. You have something to offer nobody else can offer. Nobody has your exact personality, your exact looks. There is something unique about you. Don’t wear that “average” label. If you think you’re average, then you’ll be average. If you think you’re ordinary, then you’ll live an ordinary, “get by life” and never do anything great.
The truth is, there is nothing ordinary about you. You have the fingerprints of God all over you. The Creator of the universe breathed His life into you. He crowned you with His favor. You have royal blood flowing through your veins. You have a destiny to fulfill, something greater than you’ve ever even imagined. Embrace His truth, embrace His love, and embrace the blessings He has in store for your future!

Here’s 10 Pieces Of Advice Every Woman Needs To Hear:
Your worth is not defined by what others think of you. — Psalm 139:14 You may be trash according to them, but you are priceless to Him. You need to develop tunnel vision to your purpose. Once you develop that, No one can stand in the way of your vision. It’s too important.
Just because everyone is doing it, doesn’t mean it’s right. — Exodus 23:2 Never feel the need to “fit in”. As Christians, we have an obligation to stand out from the rest of the world. When you don’t know what to do it might seem like a good idea to do the same thing everyone else is doing. After all, if everyone else is doing it, It can’t be that bad, right? WRONG!
Tough times are only temporary. –Romans 8:28 Every time it rains, it stops raining. Every time you get hurt, you heal. After darkness there is always light. No matter how difficult the situation is, keep pushing forward in Faith and remind yourself that troubles don’t last always and tough times are only temporary.
Attitude is everything. –Proverbs 23:7  I can’t stress this enough. Your attitude determines the outcome of every situation in our life. You can let something break you or you can let it make you stronger. The choice is yours. “A bad attitude is like a flat tire. If you don’t change it, you’ll never go anywhere.”
Mean Girls aren’t cool. –Ephesians 4:32 A pretty face is nothing if you have an ugly heart. There’s nothing cute about putting others down. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Respect starts with Self-Respect. –Psalm 106:3 It all starts with you. Respect yourself and others will have to respect you as well. In relationships, people can only treat you the way you allow them to treat you. No, you can’t control the way others act, but you don’t have to tolerate it neither.
The little things are what matters the most. — Hebrews 13:5  Sometimes we pray for material things… and that’s fine, but don’t forget the things which money can’t buy. ( your health, your family, your friends ) Happiness isn’t about getting what you want all the time. It’s about loving what you have and realizing how blessed you are to have it!
When one door closes, another one opens. –Deuteronomy 30:3 …And most of the time, an even better one. God sometimes closes doors because it’s time for us to move forward. And that’s a good thing because we often won’t move unless circumstances force us to. Just know that God will restore everything you lost.
Faith makes things possible, not easy. — James 2:17 …And Faith without works is dead. You’ve got to work hard and pray harder. Remember… anything worth having is worth working for. They’ll be days when you’ll want to give up, Don’t!
Without God you are nothing. –John 15:5 No matter how big you get, never forget where He has brought you from. Be humble. Realize that you are blessed to have the things you have. They are gifts from God. They are not owed to you. Oh and FYI…Humble pie doesn’t taste good at all.
